Why STUDIO FORMA exists

It all starts with why
STUDIO FORMA exists for one reason: to help women feel better about themselves.
Not better in a "new year, new you" kind of way. Better in the way that actually matters when you're in your forties, fifties and beyond, juggling work, family, and a body that seems to have changed the rules without telling you.
Perimenopause and menopause can knock your confidence, your energy and your sense of who you are. So when I opened STUDIO FORMA, I didn't want to build another studio designed for a twenty something crowd. I wanted to build somewhere women in this stage of life walk into and feel welcomed, understood and genuinely looked after.
Everything we do comes back to that one idea. Reformer Pilates is simply how we do it.
Feeling better the moment you walk in
The first kind of feeling better happens straight away.
When you arrive at STUDIO FORMA, we greet you by name. Every one of our instructors knows who you are, and they make a point of getting to know you properly. You will never be a number on a booking list here.
We remember your dodgy knee, your tight shoulder, the back that's been playing up since you moved house. We work around your injuries and adapt the class so it supports you, rather than leaving you to quietly struggle at the back.
And then something lovely happens. Somewhere between the warm up and the final stretch, your mood lifts. The to do list goes quiet for a while. You leave feeling better than when you came in, and that's what we set out to give every woman who books a class with us.
Feeling better for the years ahead
The second kind of feeling better builds week by week.
Reformer Pilates is brilliant for women going through perimenopause and menopause. Come regularly and you'll notice it in the everyday things: standing taller, carrying the shopping more easily, feeling steadier on your feet, moving without that familiar stiffness.
That's because every class works on the things that matter most at this stage of life:
Strength, so your body feels capable and supported
Posture, so you stand and move with confidence
Stability, so you feel balanced and steady
Mobility, so you can keep doing the things you love
But it's never only physical. Our clients tell us they feel calmer, clearer and more like themselves again. Feeling stronger in your body has a way of making you feel stronger in your mind too. Physically, mentally and emotionally, that's what feeling better really means.
Feel better, stronger together
Our tagline isn't just a nice line for Instagram. It's how we run the studio.
"Feel better" is the why behind everything we do. "Stronger together" is the how. You're surrounded by women who understand exactly what this stage of life feels like, and by instructors who know you, notice your progress and cheer you on. Nobody does this alone here.
So whether you're brand new to reformer or coming back to exercise after a long break, there's a place for you at STUDIO FORMA, in Nottingham or Oakham.
Come and see how much better you can feel. We'll be at the door to say hello, and we'll remember your name.
